American Herbalists Guild: An organization dedicated to the training of quality herbalists and improving the state of herbal medicine in the United States.

Ancient Pathways: One of the top schools in North America for learning the essentials of wilderness survival or long term wilderness living. Offers courses on wild edibles and medicinal herbs plus many others.

 

The Arboretum at Flagstaff: The highest elevation arboretum in North America, this is a delight to visit to see many of the native plants of the Colorado Plateau.

Arizona Ethnobotanical Research Association: Created by Phyllis Hogan, it is dedicated to the study and preservation of medicinal plants and herbal knowledge in the American Southwest.

 

Boyce Thompson Arboretum: In the hills just east of Phoenix. One could spend days wandering their gardens, reveling in their beauty. Especially good in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom.

Desert Botanical Garden: Located in Phoenix, this is the place to go to learn about the Sonoran Desert plants.

Flagstaff Central: A city guide for Flagstaff, Arizona with lots of great information about the Northern Arizona environment, businesses, and organizations.

Flagstaff Native Plants & Seed: The place to go in Flagstaff for native medicinal plants. Very helpful staff.

Herbal Articles: Michigan herbalist, Jim McDonald has put together a very helpful index of articles on all things herbal. These have been written by some of the most experienced teachers and practitioners in North American herbalism. These writings provide a good source for self-study and also for exploring specific topics in more depth.

Massage in Flagstaff: Louise Hall has the wonderful combination of experience, ongoing training and a heartfelt commitment to healing that adds up to a very effective massage treatment.
