Classic Herb Triplet for Influenza Fevers
Use equal parts Yarrow, Elder Flower and Peppermint
Make as a cup of hot tea and sip as hot as is comfortable
Can be combined with other influenza herbs such as osha, elderberry and boneset.
Urinary Tract Infection Formula
Equal parts Yarrow, Uva-Ursi or Manzanita Leaf, Usnea lichen, Oregon Grape root
Use as a tincture and add to a cup of demulcent tea such as marshmallow or Throat Coat brand tea.
Hemostatic Herbal Pair
Use equal parts Yarrow and Shepherd’s Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris) as a fresh plant tincture.
Used by midwives to stop bleeding during childbirth and to stop bleeding during excessively long menstrual periods or spotting.
This is NOT meant for emergency hemorrhaging nor is it a substitute for the ER.
The Do-It-All Salve
Use equal parts Yarrow, Comfrey, Calendula, Plantain, St. John’s Wort
Helps stop minor bleeding and to heal minor wounds (vulnerary) and reduce inflammation.
Not for deeper puncture wounds.
A good general purpose salve.

Cardiovascular Tonic Formula
Use the following proportions:
Hawthorn berry (Crataegus spp.) 45%
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) 20%
Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) 15%
Rose blossom (Rosa spp.)10%
*Lobelia (Lobelia inflata) 5%
*Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) 5%
This blend strengthens the blood vessels, increases circulation, relaxes tension and tonifies the heart muscle.
Lobelia and Cayenne make a traditional herbal pair that stimulates the Vital Force.
Lobelia relaxes excess tension while cayenne stimulates movement.
This combo should be used in small amounts.
